Projects that were born pre-pandemic have had their wheels greased and are gaining momentum contributing to the high demand for Printed Circuit Boards. With the increased demand, comes an increase in price, as well as some lead times being extended.
Copper prices have increased dramatically due to the high demand for electric vehicles to support Government directives to cease manufacturing of petrol and diesel run vehicles from 2025. The demand for copper will accelerate putting further pressure on manufacture and supply.
We ask you to acknowledge that extended lead times are more likely, and to plan your schedules as far in advance as possible to mitigate the effects of late deliveries on yours and your customers businesses.
As experts in PCBs, we are working closely with our partner manufacturers to secure capacity for your orders. To do this successfully, we must accept some extensions to lead times to account for materials to be sourced where demand is high.
