There is no doubt we are all operating in unprecedented and worrying times. We know Covid-19 Coronavirus poses
multiple challenges for businesses big and small across all industry sectors.
The safety of our employees is paramount to us. We must do everything we can to protect one another, but also
protect the business on which we all rely.
We want to assure you that ALR is open for business and will remain fully operational throughout this pandemic. We
will follow Government advice and react by following their recommendations.
We are fully set up for remote working and have been for some time. A number of our team are actively working
from home to protect themselves from exposure through public transport and to mitigate risk should symptoms
occur within our office-based workforce. Our processes have been rigorously tested to ensure uninterrupted service
to you, our customers.
We expect our Chinese PCB manufacturing partners to have cleared all backlogs from their own experience with
Coronavirus by the end of the first week in April 2020. It means that we should see offshore lead-times revert to
normal over the following days and weeks, which will help to ease the pressure on UK PCB Manufacturing which will
be impacted by this outbreak.
We are monitoring all courier services, air, land and sea continuously. As an organisation, we are committed to
keeping our customers informed as and when any relevant breaking news happens.
In addition to the above, we have:
• Cancelled all face-to-face meetings and external training courses to minimise risks of Coronavirus entering
our business
• Employed stringent additional hygiene procedures in-house
• Incorporated sanitation stations and information sheets at all entry points to the building, offices,
warehouse, staff rooms etc
• Staff are required to follow these procedures as outlined by WHO, and the NHS, including thorough hand
washing
• Implemented the ‘whole home’ isolation policy for our staff if any member of their household display
symptoms
• Arranged to hold any necessary meetings or training sessions online using a variety of platforms.
Our phone lines are covered during regular working hours to ensure continuity of service.
We are doing everything we can to protect you, our staff and our business. We know that a collective and rigorous
response to this pandemic is absolutely necessary, and we remain committed to supporting all customers through
this challenging phase.
